The Basics
Sagittarius season is winding down. Mercury has stationed direct. We’re cleaning up the hyper-idealized situations we may have birthed during retrograde. Whether it’s busted tech or a banged-up relationship, broken things get fixed — it’s very breakdown-to-breakthrough, especially for Sag and Gemini, who’ll keep revising their communication for three weeks until Mercury moves into Capricorn.
With Jupiter in Gemini still in mutual reception, words are extra potent this week. Positive neurolinguistics can reframe our experiences — like how Colman Domingo describes his early career in this interview. “It all depends on the lens you're going from,” he explains. “While I was bartending, while I was teaching, while I was on unemployment […] I was always an actor. I've never attached myself to saying struggle. I was having a life of an artist.”
Alongside Mars’ ongoing retrograde in Leo, Domingo captures the upside of Mercury in Sag: narrating yourself into trusting the path to your desire, holding it with a grateful eye. We’re editing our stories as Mercury moves forward. What words are you ready to use now?
Speaking of Mars, he’s in our psyches like a hot knife, dissecting what needs to breathe. Mars doesn’t trade in comfort; he’s all grind. But let the un-glorified muck of inner-child healing refresh you. Trust the planets’ divine clock — it’ll pay off when 2025’s most intense transits come to pass.
Then it’s Solstice Saturday! The Winter (or Summer, for your Aussies) Solstice lands us in Capricorn season, earthy and ready to mountain-climb.

Weekly Highlights & Sign Specifics
On Monday, the Moon was in Cancer, dredging up emotions and shifting needs around whatever emerged during last week’s Gemini full moon.
Tuesday set a tone: the Moon, freshly in Leo, conjoined Mars (also in Leo) and opposed Pluto in Aquarius. Productivity sort of left the building with this one. Lean in to the holiday slow-down. Exhausted with how your reality feels? Turn away from what drains you.
Yesterday, the Sun in Sag squared Neptune in Pisces, bringing on hazy feelings of self-deception, lethargy, escapism, lack of purpose. Again, don’t force that to-do list.
Today, Venus in Aquarius trines Neptune as the Moon in Leo trines the Sun, brightening a cloudy week. Neptune dissolves the ego; pay attention to hopeful announcements — a light may be visible in the tunnel.
On Friday, the Moon in Virgo squares Mercury in Sag as the Sun descends out of Sag. The global big picture might be rough — impending government changes, etc. — but what do we know that can help us feel more expansive on a personal level? Can we find freedom in the face of available depression? Focus on what Virgo lets you control: bodily health, cleaning your home (and enjoying it).
Saturday, the Sun enters Capricorn. Get shit done! Grind! Girboss! But really not until January, since Mars Retrograde is slowing Cap’s roll. Commit to serious, internal work, especially with that Virgo Moon.
Rex’s Recs:
Do:
Speak up about your mythology, especially if you have Mercury in an earth or water sign. These placements are fundamentally somatic (nonverbal), and can struggle to advocate for themselves.
Slow down, or Mars will do it for you. Take some vitamins, follow Neptune’s remedies of meditation, yoga, prayer, especially today. Pay attention to the body, the quiet yin work of coaxing young wounds to heal.
Name the emotion. Say it out loud, notice how your body is responding. Is your throat tight? Are your hands shaking?
Purge through movement. Being flooded with a feeling? Dump it out through a stretch, a push-up, or an ice plunge. Not a mover? Pour into stream-of-consciousness writing (especially Gemini and Aquarius).
Keep your scope to small tasks this weekend; don’t be overzealous. Appease the earth energy with some to-do-listing, some rest, a passion project, and Pink Floyd.
Don’t:
Get stuck in a feeling. Complex trauma can cause quick, unexpected dysregulation in surprise moments. Breathe through it.
Send a million texts. Block the impulse to act on or even explain what you’re feeling — just experience it.
Launch a business or reveal your new self. Keep big announcements to late spring, we ain’t there yet.
Journaling Prompts:
How are you mythologizing your heart’s desire?
What do you need to say, and to whom?
How could you change your narrative to embrace the unfathomable, the unknown? Can you hold a more nuanced, prismatic reality, even if it’s hard?
Where have your needs not been met in your one-on-one relationships?
